Tiger Balm is a medicinal salve, concocted by herbalist, Aw Chu Kin, over 100 years ago, and which is said to be able to soothe and cure almost any ailment. It contains pain-relieving menthol which provides deep penetrating relief for muscle soreness and stiffness. There are two types of Tiger Balm, red and white. The red is for mild soreness and stiffness, and the white is for deep muscle soreness.
Tiger Balm works great to warm up tight muscles before exercises and to provide temporary relief of aches and pains due to overexertion, simple backaches, sprains, arthritis, and joint pains.
Rub Tiger Balm into affected area. Repeat 3-4 times daily.
Tiger Balm is safe to use externally; however, there have been rare instances of redness and rashes indicative of allergic reactions. If symptoms continue for more than 7 days, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin. Do not bandage tightly. If you are pregnant or nursing, consult your physician be fore using Tiger Balm. For children under 2, consult a physician before using. If accidentally ingested, call poison control or a physician immediately.
